The surface processing of glass by use of laser technology has lots of names, for example: "micro-spotting" - "surface engraving" or "CO2 engraving".
Whereas the names are different the technique remains the same one.
The surface of the glass is damaged punctually by a laser beam, with the result that a matted area of many tiny points ermerges. Through the intensity of the laser beam and the gap between the points it is possible to display different shades of grey.
Due to this technique we are able to engrave detailled and accurate pictures, motifs and decors on glass.
In opposition to the sandblasting technique the surface is less sensitive.
