CNC grooving
A special glass finishing is the grooving technique. Grooving is applicable to matt and polished glasses with different shapes and widths. Created by a diamant grinding wheel, the groove refracts the incident light and leads to attractive effects. The development of the groove depends on the size and profile of the gridning wheel. The shape of the groove is created by the abrasive head and can be realised as a C-, V- or W-groove (offcenter grooving).
Of course it is possible to combine grooving with further techniques:
- sandblasting,
- surface engraving,
- digigtal printing or
- applications
